Having fun with glyph icons!
14 Apr 2013 | Comment

I have been having lots of fun with glyph icons lately..and here are the two icon websites I found to be useful when it comes to CSS coding:
Icomoon is also great for icons as it offers a wide variety of delectable icons. However, I don't quite understand how to put it to use. Well, if you're wondering why glyph icons are said to be really cool..take a look here to find out why. It's simply easy;
  • to change the size
  •  to change the color
  • to shadow their shape
I'm so excited, I wanna write a tutorial on glyph icon usage in CSS coding. Here's how you do it;
  • choose an icon from here
  • paste the below codes under the tag <head>
<link href="//netdna.bootstrapcdn.com/twitter-bootstrap/2.3.2/css/bootstrap-combined.no-icons.min.css" rel="stylesheet"> <link href="//netdna.bootstrapcdn.com/font-awesome/3.2.1/css/font-awesome.css" rel="stylesheet">
  • Place Font Awesome icons just about anywhere with the <i> tag.
example: <i class="icon-camera-retro"></i>
  • To increase the size of icons relative to its container, useicon-largeicon-2x,icon-3xor icon-4x.
..and walla! have fun...

Hi, I'm Grace and I maintain this blog with my occasional musings. Apart from writing, I like being occupied with anything artsy, I enjoy the company of books and I like unleashing my inner nerd through occasional coding. My ideal day would be holding a book in one hand, matcha in the other, ears plugged and a cat purring on my lap.
